Amelia Day
Little Saint · 25 North Street, Healdsburg, California 95448, United States
Raised in Sumner, Washington, Amelia grew up on a soundtrack of Queen, Creedence Clearwater, Alanis Morissette, and Sheryl Crow. After moving to Nashville to study English, she immersed herself in house shows and open mics, developing a style that drew from her wide ranging influences rather than fitting neatly into one genre. That authenticity helped her build a national audience with songs like “Skippin’ Down the Sidewalk” and “Eastward of Eden.”
Her independent rise led to sold-out shows across the country and performances at major festivals including Bumbershoot, Capitol Hill Block Party, Folklife Festival, and Seattle PrideFest. But after graduation, a cross country road trip ended in a sudden breakup that reshaped her perspective and creative direction. Turning to the ’90s rock records she loved, Amelia began writing songs that felt more direct, mature, and unapologetic.
The result is \*EGO TRIP\*, a collection she co produced with Taylor Carroll and largely performed herself. Recorded at Bear Creek Studio in Washington, the EP balances raw emotion with memorable hooks, moving from the folk rock glow of “Lady Los Angeles” to the fiery attitude of “GET OUT OF TOWN!” and the title track’s pointed reflection on ego, fame, and betrayal.
Whether through anthems or storytelling, her songwriting remains deeply personal. \*EGO TRIP\* marks a defining moment for the singer songwriter, an artist embracing her identity and sounding more like herself than ever before.
