Little Saint · 25 North Street, Healdsburg, California 95448, United States

Vincent Neil Emerson has become a staple among folk and country music fans nationwide, celebrated for his honest tales of heartbreak, hard work, and life on the road. After debuting with 2019’s playful Fried Chicken & Evil Women, Emerson has increasingly used his music to chronicle his complex personal history. Born in East Texas and raised by a single mother, Emerson faced early adversity, including the loss of his father to suicide at age nine and later bouts of homelessness. He openly channeled these experiences into his 2021 self-titled album with tracks like "Learning to Drown." The same album allowed him to honor his Native American roots, shedding light on his tribe's history with "Ballad of the Choctaw Apache." His newest album, The Golden Crystal Kingdom, represents both a thematic and sonic evolution. Produced by Shooter Jennings, the record expands Emerson’s traditional alt-country roots into electric folk and 1960s/70s rock-and-roll territory, drawing inspiration from legends like Bob Dylan and Neil Young The project highlights Emerson's artistic growth and newfound confidence to address social issues, as heard on "Man From Uvalde", a track finished with encouragement from mentor Steve Earle. The album also features collaborations with Rodney Crowell and pays tribute to long-time friends and peers like Charley Crockett and Colter Wall. Grounded in humility and sharp storytelling, he seamlessly blends the grit of the everyman with a unique musical point of view.
