Seattle psych folk rock band, Forest Ray, began as a recording project in 2015. They combine guitar driven psych rock with elements of folk rock and organ-laden pop. Their songs regularly explore diverse instrumentation, which have become staples of the group's brand of rock n' roll. Through a consistent touring and recording schedule, they have become one of Seattle’s most known active bands. They played over 75 shows in 2022 across the United States and toured Canada with Vinyl Williams in the spring of 2023. Their sixth studio album, Windfucker (Jebivjetar), was released in January 2024 after they returned from their European tour and played at The Sound of Bronkow music festival. “If you want to put a fine enough point on it, Forest Ray’s often rootsy, very handmade sound could be dubbed Americana. But the Seattle band infuses that foundation with trips to the psych-rock well, and some classic pop-song construction. Lead singer/guitarist/principal songwriter Peter Sumic’s terrific, affecting tunes often sound like The Band covering Beatles songs no one knew existed.” - Tony Kay, Artist Home Opening the show will be Chucken Milk from New Orleans. Frontman Dave Hammer leads this project when he is not playing guitar for Chris Acker. This will be a very good show!
